Mission Statement:
The Wildland Fire Division of Black Wake Rescue stands at the frontlines of one of our greatest natural threats. Our mission is to train, equip, and empower firefighters with the tactics, knowledge, and resilience required to combat wildfire across forests, fields, and the wildland–urban interface. We are relentless in our commitment to protecting life, property, and natural resources—unyielding in the face of fire, unstoppable in our pursuit of excellence.
Wildland fire has become one of the most dynamic and challenging threats to both our natural landscapes and the communities that border them. Recognizing this growing risk, Black Wake Rescue established the Wildland Fire Division to provide specialized training and operational expertise in all aspects of wildland fire response.
Our focus encompasses wildland fire tactics, wildland–urban interface (WUI) operations, ATV and brush unit deployment, and wildfire dynamics. By integrating proven strategies with modern resources, we prepare responders to meet the unique challenges of wildfire environments while ensuring the highest levels of safety and effectiveness.
From the backcountry fireline to densely populated interface zones, the Wildland Fire Division is committed to equipping firefighters with the knowledge, skills, and operational readiness needed to protect life, property, and the environment.
Black Wake Rescue – advancing capability, strengthening resilience, and building a safer future in the face of wildfire.
